Management
the Key

Providing a safe, comfortable residence is only a small part of the formula to providing a good living environment for today's seniors. Bricks, mortar and wood make a good house, but what makes a good home is the people that are responsible for the operation of the residence. Harrison Residences are managed by the Langley Senior Resources Society, whose facility is just a couple of blocks away from Harrison Landing along 208th Street, or accessible by way of a pleasant 10 minute walk along the "Michaud Trail", named after another of Langley's first pioneers.

The Langley Senior Resources Society, a registered non-profit society, has been providing health, social, recreational, nutritional, educational, transportation and advocacy services to elders and adults with chronic disabilities for over 25 years.

The Society provides adult day care services and outreach services to frail elders and recreational services to over 1200 well and active senior members.

Nutritional services are a large part of the Society's program, providing over 150 daily meals Monday through Saturday at their center. The society is a respected leader in the Langley community. They are a training ground for many students from nursing and care aide classes. Social workers use their outreach program as an important training opportunity, dealing with elders in community settings. The Society's long history of providing services for the senior community and their respected place in the Langley community makes them unique and unchallenged in the operation and management of Harrison Residences.
